It was a cold and foggy day. I knew that the conditions would allow me to take good pictures as soon as the animals appear. In the morning a pheasant appeared with his display of beautiful feathers. He was nibbling on some grains and lush grass. Then he did something strange that he had never done before. He lay down on the grass, right in front of my lens. I thought to myself what was going on. Immediately behind him a ginger shadow appeared, like a phantom. A fox visited us. I figured there would be some very emotional photos from this "meeting". However, the fox did not attack the pheasant, which is more the two still occurring similar meetings.

Any story behind the shoe tree?

It's actually a souvenir tree for the cows.
It's footwear they've acquired from people attempting to do some cow tipping.

The real story is, according to a person I talked to at a local business, after finishing doing the Run For The Cure for the area, some participants would throw their footwear up into the tree.

I don't know what that is to signify other than maybe remembrance or that a goal was achieved.

Of those two stories, I prefer #1. :-)
