As with many delicacies, it all depends on how they're prepared, Mike. Notice the squirrels technique: first, you must soften the cone with an appropriate amount of saliva. Ooo-la-la, so delectable !  :p

hammer...I had no idea that there was so much involved in the in the proper preparation of pine cones for consumption. I'll have to give them a try using the proper preparation techniques. :p
