With on-going movement options (14 weeks in lockdown now), getting out and about is challenging, but this is a native woodpigeon, the Kereru - gorging itself of berries.
They are the C-130 Hercules of the native birds. The pair for life and the couples swoop along the natural and man-made paths in the bush, and you need to duck! I have felt the wind of their passing on several occasions.
