Thank you, Sir. ;-)a

Here's another for this thread, as I work through our trip pics. We were walking a boardwalk in Cedar Key and came up on a big tree growing in the amidst the cattails and it had a large canopy coming up to the edge of the boardwalk. I stopped to see if there might be any birds hanging out in this lone tree. I noticed a reflection through some leaves as they blew in the wind.

When I investigated "through the lens", I noticed a racoon family in a large hole in the tree trunk. It was almost impossible to get a clear shot, but I did my best to shoot through the leaves as they blew open.

Excellent shot! I think the blurred leaves just add a bit of mystique to to it.

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

A Wood duck.

You get a lot of really nice Wood Duck images, but this one is superb! :-)

Thank you very much. I was very pleasantly surprised when I got it on the computer.

I'll second Pippan's comments.
It's what we see when taking a closer look that often, mostly gets overlooked.
You did very well Phil

This photo was sent to me by an old buddy of mine. It is not my work, but I just had to post it. I still smile every time I look at it.

that's a beauty Mike
certainly gave me a laugh

This Kookaburra has been a very frequent, all day visitor to our place and rests in many different locations awaiting food.
It was sitting up in the Laburnum and allowed me to get within about 15 metres. It took one long look at me then resumed its reconnaissance of the ground below

Beautiful Richard, they're so fluffy and warm. Not like our scrawny-looking blue-wings.

Thanks Richard. This one was a really fun find. When I showed my wife, it took her a while to be able to see them even standing in the same spot as I did.
