It was sitting up in the Laburnum and allowed me to get within about 15 metres. It took one long look at me then resumed its reconnaissance of the ground below I just think these Kookaburras are such cool looking birds. I'd like to see them in the wild. Very nice shot, Richard! Very nicely composed shot here, Tom! This bird's pose is quite appealing.The cactus alway intrigues me. I can't imagine how they can be so good at avoiding all those spines.
