Well, Paul, I can honestly say that this is the time I've viewed turtles procreating. They do take their time...as I expected.

Incredibly nice close-up of the burrowing owl, Bill!

Thanks. IT was amazing to see even though I didn't see it for very long!!! I think of all the bazillion hummingbirds I saw on this trip, this one was the most fleeting!!

Ed without a doubt you have some exceptional photos from your trip.
I'm enjoying everyone of them.
They are beautiful, educational, and a delight to follow.
I appreciate your taking the effort in posting them on this forum..

Thanks, Richard!! I am still editing and looking through them, it's kind of an overload!! Glad you like them!! It is an amazing country for birds!! I hear Ecuador (which is next to Colombia) is also equally amazing for birds. I've been to Ecuador twice but they were family trips (and visiting friends) not birding trips although I did see lots of birds in the rainforest.....one day I'll go there just for photography.....

a rather wet and bedraggled junior Tasmanian Magpie that has sat in the same place on the fence all day, including the rain event
Mother bird did come and feed it whilst I was there watching
