My wife and I were sitting in our car on a Dorset heath, having a cup of tea, when I saw this vixen wandering some way away. The next thing I knew she was alongside the car. My camera was in the boot (trunk) and I felt sure that the fox would flee the moment I opened the door to get it. Not at all! She just stayed there looking at me while I got my camera out and fired away at point blank range! I guess she was used to cars and people and was hoping to be fed, but on a matter of principle we didn't oblige - feeding wild animals encourages them near roads where they can get run over. very nice and the fox looks relaxed. Your story sounds like mine after spending four hours in the woods looking for bear with no luck. While driving home on a back road 400 lb. bear is walking towards me. VBA #299
