I've sure been enjoying your photos lately Jeff, the Squirrels,
Fox and Chickadees. Couple questions, how far are you from the white Chickadee when shooting it? Why is it always snowing in your photos?
Nice sharp images you are taking.

Thanks Steve, I call him little White Dude, He's quite close Steve, He will come land on me if I hold my hand out. He's just so tiny and super white its hard to get definition in that white feather. So the right light is a really big help. And yes it is snowing everyday, so much so we are running out of places to put all the snow. Honestly I've had about enough of it so I have not been hitting the bush to shoot as much as I normally do. Check out the video over on page 430 of the .....Post your best Bird Portrait thread. made it the other morning just to prove a point to a friend.

Excellent, looks like a reflection of a photographer in the pupils of this Fox.

I get that a lot Steve lol,... So here's a question.. ?? Animal looking at you or looking away ?? I tend to shoot them looking straight at me and or you as the viewer. which do the masses prefer. ??

I prefer looking at me if given the choice but I like all other good shots too. A photo like this one of the Fox tells me you were reasonably close, had it's attention yet it was still advancing toward you. It isn't showing fear or alarm in anyway, the Fox is accepting you in it's world but wants to check you out. I may be all wrong but that's what I see beyond a great exposed and focused image.
I like behavior photos, sleeping, hunting, interacting with other Foxes, I just don't seem to capture any of them.

Yes, you do well with your photos at making me look at them for a long period of time because they seem to contain more than just the photo, it puts me in your place with the animal or bird. There are several people here that are doing that with their photography and I salute all of you. I'm still practicing.
Keep after the little white bird too, you have been getting a look from his eyes that are super good.
