awesome photo of that Bison.

As a kid I looked at photos of these and was rather in awe and was somewhat struck by their sheer size and numbers.
It was to me the Wild side of USA.
Think there were Shell (Petrol- gas) cards that featured such.
I don't think I ever lost my childhood like of them.

That's a very nice shot, Pax. I like the bison in black & white. It has a timelessness quality, making me think of a time, back when they roamed the old west.

The stags are beginning to get a little feisty again as the rutting season gets underway. Glad theres a fence between me and these guys as those antlers could do a lot of damage.

Thank you both. I can only imagine what it would have looked like to see millions of bison covering the rolling prairie...

Very nice natural looking shot.
Kevin I'm curious. Is that grevillea red true to what you see in real.
It's not a criticism, by no means.
Through the ages I've watched reds, particularly, wax and wane with different cameras. Always Olympus seems a bit 'different'.
My EM5 1 isn't too bad, but occasionally it's not right there. Pink or maroon tinged reds are 'worse'.

That lens is doing well.

It turned out more red than IRL. It was wet and the sun had just peeked out briefly so there was a lot of burned highlights. I toned them down in ACR which seemed to add more punch to the red. This shot is nearer to it's true colour and is from the same bush and lens ad 9 minutes apart. Amazing how light, and the final image can change in even a few seconds

Thanks Kevin. yes that looks right from my knowing them.
I haven't played enough with that aspect, but should as it annoys me.

Thanks folks.
Um! Bit of a let down now.
This was a display of rescued birds etc.
I have to admit my ignorance so hopefully some of my Aussies will come to the rescue.
here's another full on
