The eyes kind of changed depending on how the light was hitting them. Here is another photo where they don't look quite as strange (maybe!). Sometimes they looked very green.

I read you're earlier post about being between the two during rut season and was about to ask whether you were afraid of being between the two. Les Stroud (Survivorman) said that the most scared he had ever been was when he was chased by a bull during rut. Coming from him, that says a lot!
