A lot of character in that ol' gal's face. Great shot, Richard.

Beautiful. Love these hares.
Their winter, summer coats add to their attraction.
Very nice
Love the overall scene. Beautiful lichen & rocks

Lovely Robin - very nice indeed

Curious what breed of sheep?
I notice you use 2 ear tags.
Is that compulsory?

Thanks,

The lamb is a mix with probably a large part Texelaar, gives big/broad lambs for meat production but pure-bred have a higher incidence of birthing problems/sectio cesaria and that's too expensive so mostly you see cross-breeds.(the photo I posted yesterday is from the same field and I'll have a few more so you can see the variety)

The Dutch government is very strict with the registration, it used to be only the cows but now the sheep also. One of the tags contains a micro-chip. On the flaps is at least a ubn (farm number) and a unique number for the sheep itself.

(not my sheep, don't own any but I treat them at work, I believe these are from one of our farmers but encountered them on a dog/BIF photo-walk along the shore)
