Stopped at a little town on my trip down the coast. Had never heard of it before, so just took pot luck. In the morning, the trawlers come back in, attracting a variety of birds. I really wanted low angle shots, but scrambling down the rock wall wasn't easy, and I couldn't get as low as I would have liked.

Those are Great shots,great calm water great color and a great looking bird .

You got pretty low, Tina! These are great shots of what here is a bird that takes off when one gets within 100 yards/metres - kind of like a heron! I don't find them one of the more attractive birds around ;);)
