Ouch, that's steep. I thought the $11 I had to pay was bad. Rick

I can't say for sure, but many people paid much, much more for it (it used to be around somewhere around $225 or more) and have had lots of good things to say about it. Perhaps this thread might help. Rick

I paid $125 on Black Friday 2010 and the strobist knowledge I gained was incredible. SOSKIphoto

It really depends on what level you are at. The more of a strobe beginner you are, the more it will be of value. I would say by the time you are a strong intermediate shooter, it is pretty much known knowledge.

Cool to see his...creative process. Definitely worth that price. Fine Art Landscape/Wildlife Photographer on Maui: INSTAGRAM

Its not always about the numbers, sometimes it is simply if it is working or not. Hearing someones thought process can help just as much as anything else.

The steps Hobby discussed made sense but it was hard to see what actually happened on the finer details. Arias' DVD shows you those differences which helped me substantially. SOSKIphoto
