Have you figured out how or what is moving the dial? Is it your case or the way you grab the camera? This has never happened to me, I just checkd and the detents on my dial are strong and it actually takes two fingers to move it. It obviously can't move itself so something is doing it, goal is to figure that out and correct the problem.

Having the mode dial on the same side as the shutter release can pose that problem. I've only accidentally bumped my mode dial once, but its bound to happen I suppose.

That's a strange problem. It takes quite an effort to turn the mode dials on mine. An accidental bump would never cause it to turn. Perhaps turn resistance decreases after extensive use of the dial.

Little bit of gaffer tape should solve that problem.
