Below my flickr photostream. I want to be a better photographer, but besides work and other hobbies , my spare time is limited.
I'm already considering to downsize my equipment , since I feel that I have invested to much money already.

Looking at my pictures, what do you think needs to be improved most.

Appreciate all comments & critique .

Many of the more experienced members on this forum do not have the time to review web pages and photostreams. You'd get a better response by posting what you think is your best shot right here on the forum and asking for a critique.

Share a photo or two.....like was mentioned....most people don't have the time to review an entire website.

What Joe said is very accurate. Post a couple of your best because only your friends and family will want to go through your entire Fliker site.

I did scan quickly through your first 4-5 pages and, honestly, most are 'snapshots' rather than artistic photographs. For you and your family, that is fine. We all have a lot of snapshots in our photo albums. But, for serious photographers you need to pare it down to the 'serious' photographs.

A few of your shots showed a good sense of composition and attention to the details that makes a photograph stand out. I would suggest that you read a couple of books on what some of the 'master' photographers feel makes a photograph different from a snapshot. Then go out and think about what you want to convey in each shot, keeping in mind what elements of the shot are important.

Whether you have invested too much in equipment depends on whether you use it or not. I think you have real potential, and will produce some really outstanding photographs as soon as you learn more of the basics and apply them.

In the General Photography section of the POTN forum there is a sticky with everyones recommendations. It's about 24 pages of entries so you have a lot to choose from.

Comments on Flickr tend to be in the spirit of a "mutual admiration society". The few times that I posted honest comments there that pointed at some flaw they were quickly removed by the recipient.... :)

:) I am not that easily upset... :) It's the recipients loss, not mine.
