Wow. I had one of those for years, as well as several other Polaroids over the years. Nice to see them back with film available. I just got some film earlier this year for the Polaroid back on my Bronica GS1 but haven't really done anything with it yet.

I mounted the Helios 44m from the Zenit on my 6d with a telescope mount. The lens is spaced away from the body to far but liked these shots.

The Polaroid back never comes off my RB67!

Sarah,

There are others more capable than I am for critiquing your shot.

I think it looks fine, but I mostly wanted to say Welcome to POTN! :-)

I really don't like the top and bottom black bars that you have used to convert the image from horizontal to vertical format. I think it would be much better left as a 4:3 or 3:2 format horizontal image.

I'd like to get the polaroid back for my RB. I just had to order up a light seal kit, the mirror damper was disintegrating.

Thanks!
Chris

Hi I went to check my image and tried downloading from one drive but it wouldn't save the image so I did a screenshot of the image. The original has no top and bottom black bars. Good eye Big Al.

Sarah, nice shot but I'm not sure what the center of interest is for the shot, is it the cup and saucer, books, or the camera? Since this is a thread for old camera collections I would have thought that your Yashica should have been the center point. I think the overall theme of old objects surrounding the old camera is great, but I would have included the whole camera in the frame and then angled and played with the focus so that the camera was sharp while the cup, saucer and leading edge of the books were slightly out of focus.

Keep on shooting and experimenting.

George

My dad's Nikkormat FtN. I use it regularly (although the new 6D may put a damper on that!)
