when i was in junior high (6th-8th grade) i took photos for the yearbook. the local K-mart store had one of these. we processed all of our film through K-mart (black and white, i used our advisors Canon EX-Auto) and i asked to fondle this every time i dropped off film or picked up prints. i was bound and determined to own one, one day...

still have never gotten one but ive got an old Minolta 7s, that was my sisters. i used it more than she ever did because she didnt want to learn about it or photography, she just wanted a bigger negative than the 110 she was using (some one some where told her bigger film equaled better images)...

You can have one now very cheap, takes excellent pictures and is a joy to use with the up and down lights it has.
You have to put some new batteries in and stuff the rest of the compartment with aluminum foil, and it must have the "pad of death" in working condition. It's a lot of trouble to get it fixed.

Yes it does but you can change it with some button cells and stuffing
The pad is a joint under the shutter rod near the bottom that connects the exposure mechanism

A digital camera, old Panasonic Lumix F-1 3.6MP
It's stylish, has a viewfinder and takes excellent pictures
