Snake Fight!

Here is a shot of two snakes fighting over a Red Devil Cichlid on the bank of my pond in my backyard.
I am pretty sure the one on the right is a Water Moccassin and the one on the left is a banded water snake.

They fought for over 5 minutes and finally we got too close and the banded water snake let go and hightailed it.

That is a fantastic capture, Garry. It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if they would have continued the tug-o-war. I suspect one snake would have eaten the other..........

Big County I think you are right, after I took this shot and labelled it, I looked at it again and I think both of them are banded water snakes, just different coloration.
