I take a lot of portraits and and indoor photos and have been thinking of buying EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM...and need some help here... I heard that EF85 is the best for portraits. Would this lens improve greatly my portrait shots in comparison with EF35L? Or am i better off spending money for some other glass?

VERY different fields of view. It's all a matter of preference. And no one can say whether having a particular lens will improve your portrait shots, although, many people who primarily shoot portraits do use an 85mm focal length. -Chris (also formally known as "imtrashed" if searching feedback thread)
