I've been debating whether to get this lens or the Sigma 35 for quite some time now...decided to play safe with the L and got a good deal on one last month. Slowly getting used to the focal length - definitely more versatile than my 50mm. Not sure if the Siggy would have been sharper or not, but I'm pleased so far.

This one is at f2, natty light.

great shot! I find f/1.8-2.0 is the sweet spot for the 35L. Colors and rendering are more to my taste than the S35
