Don't have the 35L, but I have worked a lot with wide primes.I will tell you that I personally find it very difficult to achieve critical focus with a "focus recompose" technique. Shorter FL's should make it a bit easier. But I tend to use outer focus points. But then again my stuff doesn't even come close to a lot of the stuff here on POTN. Cory
