Hey everyone. I haven't touched my camera in several months but winter is here annd I'll be needing something to do so I brushed off the lens, charged up the batteries, put a couple of old familiar perches in place, erected the outhouse blind, spread some seeds and sat down to give it a whirl. Right away I noticed that the new location I had selected for the perches on a new and different deck location this year, creates some light and shadow problems. However, after looking at a few of the images I'm thinking some of the shadow problems could create some interesting shots.

All taken with a 50D and the 70-200 f/4.

C&C always welcome and thanks for looking.

Mike, I think I'm going to like the contrasty element to these shots.

Straightening...lol. Every time I straighten the horizon, I hang the picture crooked.

Hi Mike... happy you found your camera again :) ... always enjoy the jay bird shots, especially the second image with the neat pose and spot lighting... good to see your work again.
