After perusing the refurb section at Canon's website I came to the realization that I don't really want anything. I am fairly satisfied with what I have. Not even tempted to get something new camera related (light modifiers is a different story).

I know it may be blasphemy on this site and I found it surprising myself.

I am not talking about what you would get if you won the lottery type of thing.

who's with me and what do you have?

My setup

Canon 50D
Tamron 17-55
Canon 70-200f4
Canon 50 1.8

(never use)

Canon 55-250
Canon 18-50

type of work I do

See my sig, I'm happy as long as the results I'm getting are what I want. Lighting equipment on the other hand haha I could use about 3-4 more strobes and stripbox's and a mola setti while I'm at it.

I could really use a T/S lens and a long tele, 500mm or greater. Would like to exchange the 100-400 with the new one if it ever comes out and the 200mm f/2 would be awesome but I would settle for the f/2.8

bannedPermanent ban

I wan't a 17mm TSE, 200 F1.8, 70-200 II, 400 2.8 IS II, and 600 F4 II.

Don't need any of them.

Oh, and I wan't a 1DX too.

Am I satisfied, sure. The 24-70 is a boring lens, even on my 5DII. I love my 135, however.

I am very satisfied with my camera gear.
More than can be said about my ability to use it.

I spent all of 2010 and 1/2 of 2011 flipping lenses. I bought and sold 9 in that time. I better be happy. I think only 1 remained in my bag (16-35II) not because of love, but apathy. Not as thrilled with the 70-200 2.8II as I was with the ƒ4IS though. I think I have 2 primes to sell off someday soon.

I have no "needs"

That does not eliminate "wants" however.

The only thing new I've gotten in the last couple of years was a G12 to replace my old G5. I didn't get it because it had better features and IQ, although that's a plus, but got it because it was smaller and lighter weight.

If I were still in the aviation photography business, I'd probably want to get something like a 1DIV, but for the shooting I'm doing these days, my old 40D duo will suffice. I doubt I'll buy a new DSLR in the foreseeable future.

I would like to have a nice UWA along the lines of the Canon 10-22 or Tokina 11-16...

Satisfied in general - Shoot mainly with a 5D2 & 50/1.4, on occasion a 24-105L or 85/1.8 :)

Part of me would like a 70-200mm of some description - probably Sigma with the current size of the piggy bank :( That would mean selling the old 450D 18-55IS aswell though so no back up then of camera to take places I don't want to take the 5D2.....

If I was getting more serious into photography (ie shooting more weddings) then I'd likley want a 5D2 and some more/better glass, but for the odd time I do and for my own general shooting I' pretty happy with what I have. The 5Dc is great and I like the lenses I have. I just got the 28-135 as sort of a test mule to see if I would be happy with a 24-105, or if I need to stick with a 2.8 zoom. If Sigma make a 24-XX FF zoom lens with IS I'd probably be all over it.

I like the "test mule" idea. I've had a few myself, including an old Canon 24-85 ƒ3.5-4.5 after I had a Canon 28-70 and 24-70 and thought they were the most boring I knew. So I got the test mule, loved it, then got a Contax/Zeiss 24-85 and loved it. It my test to see if my problem was that I just didn't like the focal range.
