This image was taken at Stow Maries Aerodrome in Essex, UK
Stow Maries is the only surviving First World War Aerodrome left and is currently being restored.... Link for those interested - STOW MARIES AERODROME (external link)

Anyway the site has many Owls including Barn, Short Eared and Little Owls...

I was fortunate enough to be invited down to the site where I managed to photograph both Barn and Short Eared Owls.

This own was at first light 08:27

Very lovely image. What is that red in the background? Goes so well with the colours of the owl.

Really like this, the background colors are just wonderful and I like the bird turning his head to look at you.
Really nice photo!
