I'm far from a landscape photographer, but here in PA there is a thing us locals refer to this time of year called PA Gray because from mid November till mid March everything is kind of gray and depressing. So yesterday was one of these heavy big cloudy sky days and the sun kept poking in and out and with a little time on my hands in mid-day I went to a park my dog and I frequent with my camera, intentions of doing some HDR, another thing I rarely if ever meddle with, trying to pull as much detail as possible out of this massive sky.
Well, the HDRs look OK but it was very windy so there's a bit too much shake in the tree for me to be happy, but of the 9 shots I took, I grabbed this one below, which was EV -0.3 and processed it through Lightroom barely touching it then using Nik Silver EFX Pro to tweak the b&w. Finished with Topaz to reduce noise (shot at 50iso but there was some there) and sharpen.
Shot on a 5d2, f/13, forget the shutter speed by around 1/30th, tripod with remote, Sigma 12-24 non-fish @ 12mm.
I'm not a landscape photographer but I'm digging on this and would love any feedback / thoughts / suggestions / improvements.
