Thought this was amazing especially after I found out that B H sent him a new camera on the house. How cool are these guys!

Nice! I purchased my *hard to find* S100 from them and it arrived quickly. Would to business with them again!

Over the years I have spent tens of thousands of dollars with both B&H and Adorama. Excellent service from both in all areas. Both are the best in the business.

I agree. I've purchased the majority of my gear through them the past 5-6years and have never had an issue.

Kudos to them!

BH guys are truly great. Over the past few years I have nothing but great things to say about the store, the online shopping as well as customer service. Would defiantly suggest the place to anyone and everyone!

Why would B&H send him a new camera on the house? The damage was his fault for being stupid. That's like saying that I dropped my 1d4 from the top of the Empire State building when changing a lens and it shattered - B&H should replace it.

Someone point me to where it says that B&H gave him a replacement for free. I'm calling BS on that one for many reasons.

Why?

Look at the comments made which precede your post.

You can't buy that...

I'm with Bill. Doesn't make sense that B&H would replace the camera for free when it is obviously his fault for the damage.

SanDisk is sure getting good publicity between that camera found in the ocean and this.

1. Check out the original link to canonrumors.
2. Check out the comment to his video by Curtis himself confirming he is getting a new one. Perhaps we can get someone from BH to comment/confirm/deny?

B&H giving the guy a free camera and having that go viral on the internet is very cheap advertising! DUH!!! WIN WIN !!

First, why would you leave the camera on a tripod on the beach and not be standing there? Many times I have been caught by that one wave that sneaks up high on the beach, but I was able to pull back in time.

Second, I also don't understand why B&H would supply a new camera. All the previous comments praising B&H could be because they retroactively refund sales, discounts, etc. and accept returns outside the standard return policy. Maybe the guy purchased some insurance which replaces equipment.

Great advertising for B&H, especially if this video is getting a lot of attention..... I dont think that he posted this video w/ the intention of getting a free camera... good karma :)
