Got in about 45 minutes of shooting this morning right after dawn.

I got a couple of guys I really liked, I am pretty sure about the identification, but I would be glad for anyone to set me straight if I am wrong.

Great light and detail captured in these Garry, love the low angle too. Very well done.

Very nice and detailed. #3 and #4 aren't least sp's. Leasts have yellow legs. They look like dunlin. Or, maybe the legs are dirty. LOL. Isn't this fun.

can't help on the ID Garry but you have some very nice shots here. A bit hot on the sun side in the whites. Well done all in all.

Thanks much to all!
Rex, I am a little confused on the ID as well.
The Dunlin has black on his belly, too little to be a Sanderling.

The dunlin doesn't have black in winter plumage. Also looking at western sandpiper. It helps to see size, how they move and if there is more than one.

Great photos Gary, not a Dunlin, in my opinion wrong shape and bill length, ive not seen a Least sandpiper but it looks close in size and shape for this species.

Thanks again, it was fun to shoot these, even though I was in a lot of pain
as I sprained my ankle and fell face first when I tried to run back to my car to
get another battery.
Bgraphy, I can see what you're saying about the whites. They don't show clipping on
Lightroom, but I see it. I have a copy of Color Efex Pro coming and it supposedly has
a filter that is supposed to be a big help in bringing out that blown out area, we'll see.

Again Thanks
Garry
