Hey for the guys who've bought stuff from adorama, I have a question. Adorama says we have 30 days to return an item for a full refund. Does that mean they have to get the item back within 30 days, or the item has to be post marked to them within 30 days? I'm thinking about returning a few items, but 30 days is almost up I don't know if they will get there in time.

The best thing to do would be to call Adorama customer service.

+1. It would be pretty silly to rely on advice given on an internet forum rather than getting the scoop straight from the source. What if somebody gives you bad info, you rely on it and it's wrong? I doubt Adorama will bend their rules for you because "somebody on POTN told me it worked like this!"

You call Adorama up and tell them your name and order number of the original purchase. Then they give you a return authorization number. You write that down on the package and ship it back.

The 30 days starts from the day you receive it.
Ideally you get it back to us before the 30 days is up; but we may make exceptions in certain circumstances; you are best emailing me with your details: Helen@adorama.com (external link)

Hey Helen, when a person buys something paying with paypal, then calls in for price match refund, how long does that usually take? Lets say I called in friday morning and I was told the the difference was going to be refunded to me, how long should I wait for any emails by paypal?

^^^ I know that already, what im trying to find out is how long the refund takes. Lets say I bought the 70-200 mkii for 2074, then I called them to price match the current sale which is 1974, im asking how long before I get the $100 back. And since I paid with credit card through paypal, does the money goes back to my pp acct or straight back to my cc.

I bought a lens and wanted to exchange it. Rather than wait for the exchange process I bought a second lens and sent the first back for a refund. The refund posted to my account the third day after UPS showed it was delivered to Adorama. Not sure if this is "normal" but it's my personal experience.
