I am currently using a RRS L bracket that I bought for a 50D on my 7D. Now I'm thinking about getting a 5D MkII. Does anyone know if the L bracket that fits on the 50D/7D will also fit a 5DMkII? Of course RRS sells 3 different brackets, but I already know the 50D works on the 7D, so maybe it also fits the 5D.

Thanks

I used the one from the 5DII on the 7D. Things did not line up exactly right, but worked well, none-the-less.

Wow, I didnt even know the 50D one would work with the 7D. Thats interesting. I always just sell the old L plate when I upgrade bodies. They hold their value pretty well and theres a good market for them.

Hmmm.... Okay maybe a bit harder for the gripped X0D bodies. Have you tried eBay?

I had the L-Brack for 50D (with Gripped) before and when I upgraded to the 5D (with Gripped), it didn't exactly fit. The 5DM2 Gripped is a little wider, so I literally have to force the 50D L bracket in. I could screw it in, but it's a bit distorted. I ended up biting the bullet and bought the 5DM2 bracket.
