If you see that it's available for that price, it means it's available for that price. Am I missing something?

I provided this link to B&H for price match but they refused to do so since they said it is an old link. And if you search this lens on the Adorama website, it is being sold for $2,199. I will only get the lens for $1974 when I copied and pasted that link I attached on my previous post

Buy it from Adorama. They have a customer support rep on this forum. What more can you ask for? :)

I'm in Canada and Adorama has a little higher shipping + tax or/and (duties, if there is any) will be paid at the delivery. I have had horrible experience with UPS/DHL/Fedex with hefty brokerage fee and custom duties but Purolator offered by B&H seems to be hassle free.

I emailed Helen a couple days ago, but I have not heard back from her.

They're only low in relative terms. These photographic equipment companies have jacked up their prices so much that we've been conditioned to think that a hundred dollars off here and there constitutes a fantastic deal. Having said this, where's the next deal?

True, but in this case it is one really nice lens. I finally got a chance to take mine out and I am really enjoying it. Especially on full frame, its well worth the 2k.

Thanks Helen, I forgot where I got your "helen.oster@adoramacamera.com" email address. That's probably old. Anyway, we were in touch a couple days ago and thanks for your help.

Correct. if you search for 70-200 2.8 II at Adorama.com you will see $2199. I got this the link for $1974 from http://www.canonpricewatch.com …2.8L-IS-USM-II-price.html (external link) and just pulled the trigger.

Good for you! I tossed and turned for this $1974 deal but I guess i will just have to be disciplined :( while I can't even get $850 out of my F4 IS.

I gave in even though I've been perfectly happy with the f/4 IS. It will be interesting to do some side by side comparisons. Net was $1895 after Mr. Rebates.
