Thank you!! The first one is most likely the Christmas card picture for the family!
The flash was bounced off the ceiling for most of them. I was in my living room, with the couch moved over away from the big window so light could come in there too (although not a ton came in, it was helpful for what it did provide). So, window left. I used a big sheet of the white board stuff from Lowe's (as someone suggested on here not too long ago - thanks to them!). I cut the board in roughly half and had half under him, and half behind him. I didn't intend to have it behind him, since it is a slightly glossy surface and reflects, but the white fleece I had to use wasn't cutting it (you can see it was fleece behind him in the 6th photo above with the blueish tint to the top half). Oh, and I left the white fleece draped over the back of the couch on the right side, hoping it would at least help lighten it up somewhat on that side. I don't know if it worked or if I was just hopeful, haha.
I am really new at this, this was only my second photoshoot ever (and both of this same kiddo, the last shoot was outside at the end of July when he was 3.5 months). I'm hoping to maybe eventually get some paid shoots, but we'll see. I don't feel like I have enough space, since this current setup is going to max out with about a 1 yr old probably. I have gotten some interest just from friends of theirs with kids since they've seen his photos.
On another note, I'm pretty sure Santa is bringing me a new flash! 580exII, yeah! Now if only I could figure out where to go from there. Softboxes/umbrellas/etc, beats the heck outta me! I just like playing with my camera and with kids!
