Ditto the xcopy command. Interesting there are still a few of us around who know how to do that.

The switches tell xcopy to walk the tree and copy all jpg files from the source to the target (d: I think it was) including all subdirectories.

And, the nice thing about xcopy is that you can copy the "script" into a .bat file (remember those?):)!

Easiest way is to go into the specific drive hit CRTL + F (for find) type .jpeg (if they are .jpeg) or .jpg(if they are .jpg) and hit enter. Once searching is done hit Select All or CTRL + A and copy to new destination.

Nope that will NOT work. Rad wanted to preserve directory structure on desitnation. Doing what you sugest will copy all files to the same folder.

Check out the Free Commander utility (www.freecommander.com (external link)). Open you folder with it. Then hit ctrl-B to list all of the files in all of the folders. You can then hit the numpad + key and type in *.jpg to select only the jpg files. Hit tab and go to the 2nd panel and select where you want to move the JPGs to. Hit tab and return to your list of JpGs, then hit F6 to move the jpgs to the destination folder. I'm doing this from memory but I think it is correct. It's not as hard as it sounds it's a great, free utility.
