The 35mm 1.4L has been on sale at B&H for a week now for $1255. I didn't pull the trigger because I was hoping Amazon would sell it for that price. Well today I saw that it's $1255 on Amazon (through Adorama). As luck would have it I have a few hundred sitting in my Amazon account (gift cards I got through my credit card). Unfortunately Adorama charges shipping but my total I'd be out after gift cards is $997.23. My finger is hovering the place your order button.

Would you guys do this deal if you were in my position with my current lenses?

I know there's overlap since I have the 15-85mm but I really want a fast prime for indoor shooting.

I wanted a fast prime, but didn't plunk down on the 35L because it was overkill for my needs, so I got the 35mm 2.0.

I will say this, you will NOT be disappointed with the 35L.

Picked mine up on black Friday as a package deal with a body for 1205.00 from B&H. I'm loving it so far...

Got mine yesterday and am already addicted to it! Sweet little lens, VERY sharp! Do it!

Sharp at all apertures, all distances, no focus issues, works great on a crop or ff, it is cheapish for an L prime what is not to like.

Got mine on Friday. I bought it even though it overlaps two other lenses. I wanted a faster lens and it's much sharper than my other lenses.

If you want a fast prime for indoors, it is hard to beat on FF. Love mine. Can't comment on crop. Never used mine on one.
