I have some photos that I wanted to put on my site for a few clients. I use a MBP with Aperture 3 as my post processing program. I also have Lightroom and Photoshop CS5, but they do not get used as much. My question is how does everyone go about putting watermarks on their photos? Do you have one set saved on your computer as originals, and one with watermarks? It just seems like a waste to me. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. I have tried to search and came up with nothing!

I myself don't use watermarks and don't have details, but a thread popped up here that discusses the use of a Photoshop script (the Russel Brown script):

Only my web images get watermarked. I export as a web gallery from LR, with embedded watermark.

So there is a feature in LR that will allow you to upload with or without the watermark? I guess where I am getting at is I need to figure out if I need to change editing software. I use Aperture 3, but I feel its somewhat limited in what it can do compared to LR.

In Aperture 3, you can save Export Presets, and in the preset, you can add a watermark, so you never watermark your Masters, just when you export... More info here (external link)...
