hmmm... I think the color is what makes the shot, so I never thought to try it as a B&W.

Don't get me wrong, the color is definitely interesting. I'm just wondering as a totally alternate experiment.

Very creative setup, with good exposure and focus. The mirror image doesn't seem to add anything to the image, maybe it would be stronger without it?

That is not a mirror image, it is the reflection on the surface of the water. I respectfully disagree, I think it is important to the symmetry of the image and I went to great lengths in order to be able to capture it as clearly as it appears.

striking image, had me fooled too as I had assumed it was a mirror image until reading the posts.
