So without going into too much detail, my calumet genesis flash stopped firing this week.
It will not fire wirelessly or with the cord. It will fire when I hit the test button on the back. I just replaced the lightbulb so I don't believe that is it.

It looks like it'll cost $70/hour plus shipping for Calumet to look at it for a repair (it's not under warranty), I'm not sure that it's worth that.

Anyone have any suggestions of what could be wrong or how I could fix it? If not, I'm just going to purchase an alien bee. :)

I'd hazard a guess that "no one" is a mind reader "so without going into too much detail" I don't see how anyone can offer useful information.

It's not triggered by wire or optical, yet does fire when you push the test button?

Double check whether the optical slave is enabled. Try another sync cord. Try another camera or manually shorting the camera end of the sync cord.
Might be the connector for the sync cord is faulty, might be something else entirely.

Test a bit, to eliminate as many variables possible, then report back.
