Only guesses. Muted colors = reduce satur. Also looks like a photo filter of a bronzish color was used.

The image has some great halos around the background bushes/trees. Only way I know how to produce those is with Photomatix. :) :D

look for a post in the post-processing forum regarding Cinematic Hues. Most of what was on that site fits this processing type and discussed here.

Looks like cross processing to me...I could be wrong though.

Shadows are slightly blue and highlights are a warmer orange than normal.
