The Pro 300 is higher quality with better coating and I think more lens elements. It also is a reporting TC meaning it will report correct fl and aperture.

the mc4 dgx is the least expensive currently AFAIK, it is "only" 4 elements. Although 8 pin, it is still a reporting tc due to some electronic trickery that was introduced in this new DGX series.

You may get more CA with the mc4 dgx, however due to copy variations it may actually turn out to be sharper than the 300 Pro (like in the German Traumflieger TC shootout test.)

According to the Traumflieger test the Pro 300 DG does a bit better in the center than the MC4. However, it does a bit worse off center and a great deal worse at the edges. So overall the MC4 did better in the test, even beating the Canon 1.4x II and III (although by a hair). Which is why I bought the MC4. However, I am not enthusiastic about the thing and use it as little as possible. Maybe I just have a bad copy...

Thanks again
I ordered The KENKO TelePlus MC4 AF 1.4X DGX

But All my lens below in my gear list had only 8 pin contacts and even my camera the 5D 2 had 8 pins inside
I wonder why some lenses like the 100-400 mm L had 10 pins , for what this extra pins if the camera had only 8 pins
I hope to know the answer
Thanks
