I like the idea of not having to use an outboard USB reader. What I'm wondering is, when inserting or removing a CF card does the adapter need to be removed from the laptop. I had read one review on an adapter that the reviewer stated to remove the card the adapter had to be removed from the laptop to take the CF card out. Megapixels and high ISO are a digital photographers heroin. Once you have a little, you just want more and more. It doesn't stop until your bank account is run dry.

Mark - In my PCMCIA I can not remove the CF card if I don't push the cardreader out of the laptop.

OBTW - if you want close to USB 2 HS transfer rates make sure you get a CardBus adapter, not a generic PC adapter. CardBus adapters will generally need their own driver. I have a Lexar CardBus adapter and several generic and SanDisk PCMCIA adapters and the CardBus is noticeably faster. Jon
