Has anyone tried APUG's new forum for mobile devices? It is really great. Any chance POTN could do the same?

Short answer: No.

Pekka is working on a completely new forum software and will not add third party customisations to vbulletin or the new software. I expect viewing experience for mobile users will be greatly improved with the new software.
