Life seems non-stop lately! I'm sure you can all relate, especially with the holiday season here. Shooting, proofing, editing, and filling orders in time for Christmas cards and gifts has kept me ultra busy, so I haven't been able to hang out here at POTN much lately. I'm looking forward to sharing some fun images in the coming weeks.

Here's one image for now. I headed down the coast with this beautiful family on a late November afternoon. It was 75 degrees at the beach, one of the perks of living in SoCal! We weren't the only ones enjoying the nice weather. It seriously felt like a family portrait convention! Anyway, thanks for looking!

Tim

I love the shot... but I have a small criticism..... *ducks* You cut off mom's hands!

But the clarity, sharpness I expect of your photos as always, is there :)

awesome!

It's so funny, I opened up this post, didn't see who the OP was, and thought "this is SO Tim Park's style". I checked the name and DING, DING, DING, it WAS you. You have a signature style, whether you realize it or not. Very natural, always technically right on, and very full of personality. That is a difficult thing to capture, but you always do it. You always manage to capture the flavor of the day, the person, the family. great work, as always. Yes, perhaps a crop could have been managed differently, but the things that matter, you always "get".

Jenn...thank you very much! You know, the perfectionistic side in me notices those things, too! But just getting this shot was a huge feat. I was standing on this sloping sand hill, and just before this shot, I ran up to the family to interact with the kids and then ran back to my spot. I nearly slipped, so I was happy just to get the shot!

Sue...thank you very much for those kind words. I really appreciate it. I try so hard to have all those elements come together, so when it happens, it's so rewarding. Thanks again for your comments!

dunkman23...I used my 35L.

Since your the king of ETTL.....did you shoot this with a shoot through? or all natural ambient???

Alan...thanks, man! Always appreciate the kind words. I used my umbrella for much of the session, but for this shot, which was taken later in the session, the sun went behind a huge rock to my right for just a little bit, so I was able to go with all natural light.
