Am wondering what species this is ...some sort of Plover maybe?....if anyone can help I will be grateful.

I typed in "sandpipers of Ireland" into google images, and even with all the ones that came up, I still couldn't pick out the sandpiper it might possibly be. There's a couple of good possibilities though. Maybe someone will be along before long with an ID of who this little guy is.. Sharon

It may be a Grey Plover or it may be a Golden Plover, that's the not part where it's hard to be 100% certain. If I had to guess based on this one photo, I'd say Grey Plover. Regards,
