I think I see the white dots in the waterfall testshot from DPreview. Not as pronounced, but bloom is there nonetheless. Look a the the city water-scupture image.

Bloom seems to be pretty common on Backlit CMOS. I see it on my ELPH 100HS at times, too.

I had Leica M3 and M5 bodies for a long time and enjoyed a great mechanical experience. I also had Leica R4 and 9 bodies. They sucked. I had 2 R4's that both failed, one on a job. The R9 was better, but when it came time to consider the Kodak-made digital back for it, at the same price I could get a new 1Ds, I jumped off that ship. I miss some of the lenses, but Zeiss has made the transition less painful. I had a D-Lux for a while as a pocket, but the noise was horrible. I don't think I'd ever consider a Leica digital anything.
