Nice shot.

The subject, the light and composition look good to me.

Did you use extension tubes or is the subject reasonably large?

Thanks for the kind words and the links to tips,@Bas, no i just shot the "fungus??" as was no tubes etc, as i don't think im at that level yet.

Looked at other posts after this was uploaded and see there are many more miles to go considering some of the photos on this forum.

@Bas again, just Googled extensions, and i see no did not use one, but at less than a tenner on Amazon, worth a punt as a true begginner. Thanks for the question showed me something else i need to read up on, after all the other bumpf!!!!

there definatly worth the tenner i have personally had some good results there are some on my razi but not many i havnt actually updated it in about 2months or so (im lazy :P )

also at £40 you can grab a raynox 250 magnification lens add-on which i have got better resut from, as unless the tubes are electronic which cost more you can only manual focus and have to fool the f-stop on the camera into using the one you want otherwise with the lens not physically connected it defaults and its a pain in the perverbial butt.
although saying about manual focus its better to use that anyway for macro :).

great first shot though!
