Finally had a Snowy Owl come down our way again, the first since 2007. The owl was very cooperative, but unfortunately didn't give me any flight shots since it sat in the same place until dusk.

I totally agree, I never approach a snowy closer than 100 yards, especially since this bird has flown hundreds and hundreds of miles past its normal range. Then I sit next to a perch I think that it might land on and wait; I was lucky this time. --
