setting default in Adobe?

I have got Adobe S5extended and also use the Paintshop pro 4x.... when i use Adobe and in the bridge when i double click to open the picture .. then PSP opens up??? does anyone know how to set Adobe as the default program? I can even find where to uncheck it in PSP so it wont be the default.. i use both programs..

I don't know which version of Windows you're running but in XP you open Explorer and go to Tools, Folder Options, File Types. You find the filename extension in the list, click it, then click the Change button next to "Opens with". I would assume that later versions of Windows kept this feature or something like it.

Start Adobe Bridge and go to Edit > Preferences and select the File Types Association tab.

Click on the Reset Associations to Default button and you should be set.

My guess is that you installed PSP after Photoshop CS5 and that messed up the initial file associations.

Lots of ways to do it:
You can also right-click on a file, select "Open with ...", navigate to the desired program and, after verifying that the checkbox "Always open with" is checked, hit O.K.
