Love the photo. I was too lazy to get up and do some shots. Ah, maybe next time!
I hope you didn't freeze your fingers at 6am in the morning :)

Paul: It's not your screen; it is a bit soft. I had a very sturdy tripod and ballhead, fairly quick shutter speed and used mirror lock-up. The problem is that I had to go with a high ISO in order to keep the shutter speed fast enough to not blur the "moving" moon. Then you lose some sharpness when removing the noise. I shot this on a 1D4 at ISO 3200 but still had to hit it pretty hard with Efex Dfine to get rid of the noise. And that softened it a good bit.

Euro: I froze more than my fingers! It was very cold out there -- especially for our part of the country. Maybe it will be warmer for the next one in 2014. See you then.

Yeah it was cold there this morning. I met up with a group of people via Google+ and we had a good time shooting as well. Randy let me know if it is ok to post my shots here or alternatively click the Flickr link in my sig.

Hey, Brian, go ahead and post. And thanks for asking, by the way. I'd love to see what you got this morning.

Thanks Randy, I just didn't want to do my own thread on the exact same subject :)

The colors on the bridge and moon just seem to match so well.
