I used to have a *.PSD thumbnail viewer for my old 32 bit system. Now it does not work on win 7, 64 bit (thanks M$!). Does anyone have/know of a solution to view thumbnails of *.PSD files is explorer?

This is (nearly, but not quite) frustrating enough to cause me to resort to Bridge!

Thanks,

Rad

I checked a Microsoft forum thread that I found by Googling "psd thumbnail viewer" and it has some possible answers among the questions:):

The Google results page had numerous other possibilities:

I was ticked that neither Microsoft nor Adobe really seemed to care about this for those of us that moved to Windows 7. Seems like such a small thing that they could address if they really wanted to. I did the internet search thing and tried a couple of the free solutions which turned out to be either very slow in building the thumbnails or simply didn't work consistently. I ended up buying the solution from Ardfry.com (external link). It was 20.00 and it works just fine no matter how large the folder is. I figured that it wouldn't be the worst 20.00 I ever spent and the time I was putting into finding the right solution just wasn't worth it anymore. They are also very good at answering questions if you have any. I had an issue that I cannot recall the specifics of but they were back to me within a few hours.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.
