Whitch combination? Currently, i have 5Dc, 40D and 24-70L. I have posibitilies to trade 24-70 for an 17-55 + cash. Is it worth it? Thanks in advance for any advices. Regards,Cristi

I would never attempt to shoot a wedding without two bodies... The read advantage would come from having different focal length ranges. Like a longer prime on the 40D and your 24-70 on the 5D.
Sharing batteries between the 5D and 40D is also a major practical advantage.

Currently, i use 2 bodyes for weddings: 5Dc+24-70 and 1Dmk2+70-200L, with some variations. 40D is my 3rd body

Right... I missed the 1DII in that :p

Still, I'd prefer the full frame of the 5D + the build quality of the 24-70. High ISO is also quite a bit better but you know that :p

The combo that I love:

17-55 on my 40D
70-200 2.8IS on 5DII

But now I'm thinking that the 40D needs to turn into a 7D and then I would have some great ISO performance on both sides.

I used to own a 40D and once borrowed a 17-55IS which I used for a wedding. It was great, but I still prefer the images I get with my 5D + Sigma 24-60 2.8.

I love using the 85mm on the 30D, it's a great combo. :)

For my main camera, I love FF.

Probably 5D + 24-70, if you get a good 24-70.
