Was just playing around with my 60D today morning and saw a small dot in image when shooting against sky. Not sure if this is issue with lens or with sensor. I am using Canon 15-85mm lens. I didn't see any dust or fingerprint on my lens front element.

Any ideas what this is related to ?

Looks like dust on the sensor to me, use a blower if you've got one.

change the lens and put it at f/16, change it to manual focus and point it at the blue skies and shoot... then check if the dot is still there.

Thank you for your reply. Also to note I am not using any filter. I am hoping this is common issue and not an issue with camera itself.

I cleaned up my sensor and the dot went away it seems like. Hopefully not a big issue. I am very careful changing lenses, but you can never be careful.

That is a good idea, but I tried cleaning up sensor using camera function and it seems that dot went away.

Also one thing I realize with 15-85mm is that when lens is wide open at 85mm@f/5.6, I see dark corners in images. I am assuming this can be corrected as part of peripheral illumi correction function, PP or stopping down a bit.
